Welcome to the Division of Volunteer Services. The Marion County Sheriff’s Office utilizes over 1500 volunteers in both its day-to-day operations and in emergency situations. In 2008, volunteers logged over 128,000 hours, and drove almost 500,000 miles in various volunteer positions. This represents a tax savings of almost 2.5 million dollars according to the National Points of Light hourly rate.
