Welcome to the Division of Volunteer Services.  The Marion County Sheriff’s Office utilizes over 1500 volunteers in both its day-to-day operations and in emergency situations.  In 2008, volunteers logged over 128,000 hours, and drove almost 500,000 miles in various volunteer positions.  This represents a tax savings of almost 2.5 million dollars according to the National Points of Light hourly rate.  After touring our website, you may contact us if you have questions regarding any of our volunteer programs at (352) 369-6758 or 369-6889 or gdickson@marionso.com
