There is a current vacancy in the Intelligence, Forensics & Technology Bureau for the position of Latent Print Examiner.

The minimum qualifications for this position are: At least eight years experience with latent examinations, comparisons, and identification, with a public safety agency. Court qualified as an expert witness in latent prints. Demonstrate ability to compare fragmentary prints with known prints, making the critical determination whether or not prints are, in fact, from the same individual.

A brief job description of the position is as follows: This is a highly responsible position analyzing diverse items of physical latent evidence submitted for the evaluation, comparison, identification and verification of impressions such as fingerprints, palm prints and footprints. This position will also operate the AFIS latent station.
