The Board of County Commissioners and The Marion County Sheriff's Office is proud to announce the groundbreaking ceremony of the Marion County Sheriff's Ocklawaha District Office. The groundbreaking will take place at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, January 16, 2008. (½ mile east of 13758 SE CR25, next to Patrick’s Auto Repair)

The Ocklawaha District covers 135 square miles and oversees approximately 16,000 citizens. The new office is a ½ mile east of the current office location on C25. The new building will be 3,008 sq ft. in comparison to the current office which is 850 sq. ft. located in a store front. The new building will also include a community meeting room.
