TWO ARRESTED IN ARMED CARJACKING
 
On 08-28-09, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office investigated an armed carjacking that occurred near the intersection of Emerald Road and Ash Road in Silver Spring Shores. Two female victims reported that while they were stopped at a stop sign, a black male suspect entered the vehicle through the back door and threatened them with a firearm. The suspect then forced the driver to take him to a location where he was met by five other suspects. The group then forced the female victims to exit the vehicle, robbed them of their belongings and fled the area.

On 08-29-09, B/M Rodrigo Medina, 12-01-91, was identified as a suspect by a fingerprint taken from the victims’ vehicle. Medina was arrested on 08-30-09 and charged accordingly.

Through the investigation, detectives identified additional suspects B/M Lens Toussaint and B/M Alphonso Washington. Today, detectives arrested both Toussaint and Washington and charged them accordingly.
