On 09-23-09, a Marion County Sheriff’s detective received a report of sexual abuse on a 15 year old girl by suspect Michael Franko, W/M, 03-18-56. The abuse had allegedly taken place over the past year and frequently occurred in Franko’s place of business, “Appraisal Specialists”, located at 313 S. Magnolia Avenue in Ocala. The victim reported Franko routinely picked her up near her residence, took her to eat and then to his office. She also received money for the sexual favors.
On 09-24-09, Franko was arrested when he agreed to meet the victim at a designated location. A follow-up interview revealed Franko had also sexually abused the victim’s sister in a similar manner, giving the girl money for the sex acts.
