On April 18, 2022, Amanda was reported missing after her brother received a Facebook message claiming Amanda may have met with foul play.

During the investigation, detectives interviewed numerous individuals, but accounts of Amanda’s disappearance have varied. Some stated she left the area voluntarily, while others believe she may have been the victim of foul play. Detectives also learned Amanda had ties to individuals associated with violent gangs. The last confirmed sighting of Amanda was in 2019, when she was issued a notice to appear by the Ocala Police Department. Amanda never appeared for her court date in May of that year.
