Our communications center is the central hub for law enforcement communications within the county. Staffed by dedicated professionals, the center operates 24/7 to coordinate the response and support of deputies in the field. These dispatchers are responsible for receiving, prioritizing, and dispatching calls for service, maintaining constant radio communication, and ensuring deputies have the critical information they need to respond safely and effectively.

During the 2024 Fiscal Year, our dispatchers dispatched 316,029 calls for service.

Our team is comprised of 19 dispatchers, 4 dispatch supervisors, 1 communication administrative supervisor, 1 FCIC agency coordinator, 1 communication injunction clerk, and a director. Our dispatchers are state-certified through the Florida Department of Health and are accredited by the Florida Telecommunications Accreditation Commission, ensuring they meet the highest standards of professional training and accountability. Their role is essential to officer safety and operational efficiency, making them a vital part of the Sheriff’s Office.
