Keith was reported missing on November 19, 2003, after a concerned family member went to check on him when they had not heard from him. The family noticed Keith had left all his medications at home and informed deputies that he suffers from mental illness.

Deputies spoke with neighbors who reported seeing Keith near his home on Midway Drive Terrace, in the area of Derby Downs in Silver Springs Shores. They last saw him around 3:30 p.m. that day. He was wearing a blue T-shirt and blue jeans. Deputies, Air One, the Mounted Unit, and the K-9 Unit began a thorough search of the area, including nearby woods and ponds, but were unable to locate Keith.

During the investigation, tips came in from individuals who believed they saw Keith at the Walmart on Highway 40, where he appeared to be homeless. Despite these reports, deputies were never able to confirm those sightings or locate him.

Someone knows something. Even the smallest detail, something that may not have seemed important at the time, could be the missing piece that helps bring Keith home.
