KEVIN JOHNSON

On April 29, 2024, deputies responded to a residence in the 18200 block of SE 22nd Place in Ocklawaha after Kevin’s mother requested a well-being check on her son. She told deputies that Kevin had come to her home across the street for dinner on April 27, 2024, before returning to his residence. She had not heard from him since and, given his heart-related medical issues, became concerned for his well-being. Kevin’s residence was owned by his mother, who gave deputies permission to enter and check the home. However, Kevin was not there.

During the investigation, individuals close to Kevin informed detectives that he was known to go into the nearby woods to use illegal substances. Given Kevin’s history of substance use and his medical conditions, MCSO Field Force members conducted an extensive grid search of the wooded areas surrounding his home.
