A large portion of the Northeast District is within the Ocala National Forest and we have many visitors throughout the year who are here to enjoy the recreational opportunities associated with the Forest. There are numerous areas to hunt, fish, hike and ride ATV’s. Because of the recreational opportunities provided by the Ocala National Forest, the Marion County Sheriff’s Office has forged strong working relationships with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission and the United States Forest Service. These relationships help to provide safety and enjoyment for our residents and visitors alike.
